Are we living in a simulation?

This MIT scientist says it’s more likely than not.

That hypothesis, famously probed in the 1999 film The Matrix, is the subject of a new book by Rizwan Virk, a computer scientist and video game developer who leads Play Labs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In his book, The Simulation HypothesisVirk endeavors to unpack the heady arguments that call our physical world into question.

Mystery Nymph: Who is Clarabelle Woods?

BY ERIKA CHAN

“I love being an anonymous sexy stranger… Because I don’t show my face, guys are free to imagine me as whoever they like.” — Clarabelle Woods

Who is Clarabelle Woods?

Honestly, she could be anyone — which is part of the mysterious allure and the business strategy behind keeping one’s face hidden online.

Woods, who most people call “Clara,” has been an online sex worker for two years now.

“I’ve lived most of my life in a big, bustling East Coast city but have spent the last few years living further south for school,” she shared.

Woods looks some time out from her study schedule to tell us a bit about her work, her writing and her passion for the environment around us.

Trans: How a Fringe Genre Captured the Imagination of Adult

By JC Adams

Ten years ago, this magazine published an article titled “A New Trans Generation” that examined a burgeoning market for “she-male” content, a descriptive that has now largely been consigned to the dustbin. Grooby Productions, Evil Angel and Kink.com were among the companies profiled, alongside trans pioneers Wendy Williams, Mandy Mitchell and Kimber James. (Williams was making use of something called MySpace, and exploring a still-new, three-year-old platform known as Twitter.) Mitchell, it was observed, was considered outré for performing with cisgender women, which was then a rarity in the genre.

What is Scissoring?

Unfortunately, scissoring is one of those sex things that tends to get a bad rap. Countless jokes have been made about it. It’s even been dismissed as “not real”—i.e., the media “made it up” because they didn’t understand how queer women, lesbians, and AFAB people have sex with each other. And don’t get us wrong, there is plenty of misinformation out there about queer sex (and sex in general, le sigh). But trust, scissoring is real. Yes, completely real. What’s more: It’s FUN. And PLEASURABLE. It’s not the only way queer and AFAB people have sex, but it’s certainly an option.

Server Issues

I’m sure some of you have noticed issues with our sites the past couple of weeks. We’ve been trying to figure out what the problem was. Today we believe we found the issue. A plugin used on one of the Voyeur Monkey sites had a SQL query causing a load issue. This was a bitch to figure out, but we believe we have it taken care of now.

Thanks for your patience on this inconvenience.

Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk win contracts for spacecraft to land NASA astronauts on the moon

Dynetics also was awarded a chance to be part of the effort to get humans to the lunar surface by 2024

NASA on Thursday awarded three companies contracts to build spacecraft capable of landing humans on the moon, sparking a new space race that NASA hopes will propel the United States back to the lunar surface for the first time since 1972.

Blue Origin, the space outfit owned by Jeff Bezos; Dynetics, a subsidiary of Leidos, a Reston, Va.-based information technology firm; and Elon Musk’s SpaceX won contracts, giving NASA three options that would compete against each other as NASA scrambles to meet an ambitious White House mandate to put humans on the moon by 2024. (Bezos owns The Washington Post.)

Boeing, typically among NASA’s key contractors but whose space program has experienced multiple setbacks and delays, also submitted a bid but was not selected.

Investing in Bitcoin? The Current Crisis Underlines the Importance of Bitcoin

by Dominik Stroukal — Economics Expert at SatoshiLabs

Disclaimer: This is an opinion piece that expresses a point of view of the author and not an investment recommendation. We are providing a space to share the knowledge and information needed for self-education and critical thinking.
